Men who bedwet

Don't tell anyone, I am embarrased. Sound familiar? Yep, but most men wet the bed at some time in their life, from a small child through to adolecense and into teens and adult hood. Stress is the biggest cause, especially when as teens you are facing exams. But sometimes this can continue into adult life. Many try to hide it but few succeed. It is not shamefull. It is a natural part of the body and mind. Some men sleep soundly especially after a few beers down the pub and do not wake up when nature takes its course. We can overcome this embarrasment, we just have to take responsibility of our shortcommings.

Training pants

I often wear training pants over disposable diapers so that should I get any leakage, it is absorbed and not wet my pants. Training pants for adults are hard to find, especially good quality ones. One company I am familiar with and sell a quality product is Fetware. I have used their product now for several years and their flannel lined training pant has received many washess and also stands up to drying in the clothes drier. I have not tried other brands, as I have been very satisfied with this one specific pant. The vinyl is soft and noiseless, the binding on the legs and waist soft and comfortable, and the flannel, although only one layer, is thick and very absorbant. Layers up to 8 layers can be bought if you prefer. The vinyl is made from their 'Cloud' range and although priced at between $24 and $37 dependant on size, I feel are true value for money. The crotch is wide at from 10" to 18" mine being 16" and suitable for both cloth and disposable diapers. I use mine for disposable and the wide crotch allows good movement of the legs when sitting down. For those not familiar with Fetware, here is the URL for the training pants.

If you have a small problem and not a regular bedwetter, wearing the training pant at night while sleeping can avert a wet bed. It will soak up any dribbling that may occur and will absorb even a moderate leakage of the bladder. Training pants are a good investment for bedwetters. Comfortable, absorbant and washable for use another day.

periodic bedwetters

Bedwetters do not have to be constant wetters. For some it is an accident of rarity, but it does happen. There are ways to protect yourself without going to the expense of diapering up every night.

Training pants are a good substitute for a diaper and are washable. They are available in varrying thicknesses from 1 layer to 4 layers. Basically they are a pair of vinyl pants with a layer of flannel inside. Dependant to your needs, this flannel layer can be varried from a single layer for mild dribbling to 4 layers for heavier wetting. They are comfortable to wear in bed and do not have the bulk of a diaper. They are also good for those who have dribbling problems during the day and are less bulky than a diaper so less easily detectable. Basically they are vinyl covered underwear. They are available in many of the Incontinent Products on-line shops but more so in the AB/DL stores.

Personally, I wear training pants instead of vinyl pants over the top of my diapers when working. They stop any leakage from getting out and absorb any odors also. They are not cheap, usually between $30 to $40 a pair but last for years if looked after. I wash mine in the normal washing machine, then turn inside out so the flannel is on the outside, and place in a low heat dryer. They stay soft if washed with a softner in your wash, and also have a lingering fresh smell all through the day.

So maybe it is time for you to experiment. Bedwetting is not a crime, it is a problem easily overcome through common sense. There are products out there that make life more comfortable and you should take the bull by the horns and accept you have a problem, then find the best way for you to overcome it.
