Men who bedwet

Don't tell anyone, I am embarrased. Sound familiar? Yep, but most men wet the bed at some time in their life, from a small child through to adolecense and into teens and adult hood. Stress is the biggest cause, especially when as teens you are facing exams. But sometimes this can continue into adult life. Many try to hide it but few succeed. It is not shamefull. It is a natural part of the body and mind. Some men sleep soundly especially after a few beers down the pub and do not wake up when nature takes its course. We can overcome this embarrasment, we just have to take responsibility of our shortcommings.

Bed protection

As a bedwetter, I have tried many different ways to protect my bed. There are several on the market from disposable partial pads to full matress covers, matress protectors and vinyl sheets.

Disposable pads only cover a small area and unless they can be tucked under the matress at both ends, will move and bunch up. These are ok for a single bed but not so good on a double or larger bed. They are great for when you travel as they are easy to store in the suit case and easy to dispose of if they get wet. Being a fibre one side and vinyl or plastic the other, they are comfortable to sleep directly on top of.

Full matress covers are good if you have a standard sized bed, single, double or queen. However, king single, deep sided double or queen and king size all miss out. Manufacturers will make a special order if you ask but the cost is high. Plastic is the best here for they are cheap and can be wiped down in case of an accident.

Fibre filled matress protectors are also very good as they can be washed and dried easily. They are usually a nylon or polyester fibre and absorb liquids well. Seldom does the moisture leak past and onto the matress. These also protect the matress from sweat and body oils. They are usually hypoallergenic so do not cause problems with allergies.

Vinyl sheeting is my personal favorite. You can usually buy to a specific size so for those with non standard beds, this product will serve your needs best. I place my sheet directly over the vinyl and do not have any problems with sweating, and I live in the hot tropics. The vinyl is usually the soft plyable type and I also have matching pillow covers, as we bedwetters always dribble and if the bed does get wet, the wetness can travel upwards and cause the pillow to get wet or damp as a result.

So check out the fetish outlets for the vinyl sheeting, or failing that the internet. matress protection is the best protection you can get when you are protected or not as even being protected leakage can still occur.

Diapers

What is the best diaper for a bedwetter? Personal choice and individual needs dictate this, but I find that for a heavy wetter who has a habit of lying on his/her side, cloth is the best outcome. The cloth wraps itself around the body and soaks up any liquid from all areas. Disposable diapers are designed to catch liquid in the centre in the crotch area and wick it away to the front or back, but there is no padding on the sides. Leakage during sleeping can occur when the wearer is lying on their side. There are ways to overcome this by wearing a waterproof training pant over the top of the disposable so the cloth inside the training pant will soak up any leakage. This is the method I prefer after many years of having experimented with the problem.

But you cannot beat cloth with a vinyl overpant for the best protection, and I highly reccommend this option. However it does have its drawbacks. Firstly is the extra washing and almost daily, the second is to find a vinyl overpant that will make sure the leakage will not leak past the leg and waist gathers. Again you need to experiment for your own individual needs and problems.

Disposable diapers are great but cloth is much better for stopping leakage, whether they be preformed, squares or used with soaker pads. Experiment then when you are happy with a product, then buy them for nightly use.

Are you a bedwetter?

Many men are bedwetters. Many are ashamed and say nothing but live with their affliction, mindfull of the consequences should others find out. But these men need not be so secretive. It is not a problem than cannot be overcome and many men can still find a life long partner who will accept and help them with their problem.

I am such a man, a bedwetter and for a time secretive of my problem and kept it hidden. I am a skinhead and skinheaads don't wet the bed. Then I bought a computer and found a whole world of men with the same problem as I had. Being gay I was retisent to sleep with a guy in case I wet the bed so kept my contact to casual quick sex. The computer allowed me to talk to other gay men with similar problems but not only that but with gay men who wore diapers for their own pleasure. I was facinated and started to meet with some, talked on chat lines with them and finally found a partner who wanted to live with me in a diapered living style.

I eventually came out to family and friends about my problem and to be honest, I wish I had done it sooner for they were understanding and accepted the fact that I had to wear diapers. But my problem did not begin and end with bedwetting. I found that I was losing control during the day also and so now I wear 24/7. I am not ashamed nor am I hiding the fact that I wear. I do not flaunt it but if asked I no longer deny. Diapers are a part of my lifestyle now and my partner? Well it didn't last but that does not mean there is not someone out there wanting to share my diapered life.

So if you are a bedwetter, then do something about it. Gay or straight, it makes no difference, so get down to your drug store or pharmacy and buy a carton of diapers, or if you are still a little shy then use the internet and have them delivered in a plain cardboard box. Life can change to comfort if only you will give it a chance and a change in your thinking.

Diapers

As a bedwetter waking up in a wet bed can be overcome with as easy solution. Diapers. Yep, wear a diaper to bed and most of your problems will disappear. Ok, you are embarrased to wear diapers to bed, why? Unless you sleep with someone else, who is going to know? If you are partnered, then your partner already is aware of your problem so talk to him or her and explain you want to do something about it.

Wearing a diaper to bed is as simple as buying a pack, putting them on and sleeping soundly. So simple, but not really. You have to try different brands to find one that fits and works for you, absorbs the fluids and does not leak. But most diapers will leak. They are designed to absorb fluids and wick away the wetness, but the padding is in the central part of the diaper. Most men sleep on their sides, so when you flood, the liquid runs out of the side of the diaper, hence a wet bed again. There are ways to overcome this and that is to lay flat on your stomach or back. Easier said than done.

Ok, so you tried a diaper but still leaked and wet the bed. You can place a vinyl/plastic overpant over the diaper but again unless the overpant is secure around the leg and waiste bindings you can still leak. For myself I have found adult training pants to be the best solution. They have a vinyl outer cover and from 1 to 4 soft cloth layers inside, capable of soaking up any fluids that leak out and still keep the bed dry. Wearing a cloth diaper over the disposable diaper and a vinyl overpant will do the same thing. Men also get a stiff penis in the mornings and that can cause you to leak so when putting the diaper on, make sure the penis is tucked between your legs to aim the liquid into the centre of the diaper and also does not allow the penis to stiffen fully and keeps it centered.. The 2 solutions above will overcome most of those problems.

Having to wear a diaper was embarrassing at first but now I take it in my stride. Because I work as a driver, I am seldom able to use a toilet when I need to and a couple of accidents prompted me to wear 24/7 so I am protected while at work and also when sleeping. Now I am quite open to friends, workmates and family that I wear protection. Being honest means others seldom question you and usually accept it and you well. Sure they don't want it to happen to them but are very understanding to you if you are straight forward and don't try to hide your problem.

So, take the bull by the horns and do something about your problem. Don't be shy to asking your chemist or drug store for help in selecting a diaper to suit you. You can also order sample packs through the internet and try before you buy. Vinyl pants are plentiful on line, and even diapers can be bought on line and delivered in plain boxes discretely. You have no excuse to wet the bed. There are ways to sort this out and all it needs is you to realise you have a problem and do something about it. So don't just sit there, go searching.
